REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, KUALA LUMPUR -- Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur provides five lawyers from Gooi and Azura legal firm to defend Siti Aisyah, an Indonesian woman who is charged with the murder of North Korean man, Kim Jong-nam.

"They have filed formal charges for Siti Aisyah. Hence, we have prepared five lawyers from Gooi and Azura to defend her interests," Indonesian deputy ambassador to Malaysia, Andreano Erwin said after attending the Aisyah's first trial at the Sepang District Court, Malaysia, on Wednesday.

Aisyah is prosecuted with Malaysian law about murdering which is responded by the lawyers by conveying objections over the accusations of police, as been presented to the media. The lawyers also proposes request to meet Aisyah as she will be detained at the Kajang Prison.

The team of lawyers is currently preparing argumentation to prepare their official meeting with Aisyah next week. To that end, Andreano believes the Malaysian court will provide equal legal opportunities to everyone.

"During a short talk with Aisyah, I tell her to be ready to face a long legal process ahead so she needs to keep her health and also keep praying. As long as I know, she is healthy," he noted.

Aisyah was detained by the Royal Malaysian Police on Feb 13.
