REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The Acting Governor of Jakarta, Sumarsono, said he almost sure that the double ID card issue spread on the social media was a hoax. He argued it was faked by irresponsible person. "Do not take it serious,” said him at Soemantri Brodjonegoro Sports Center, Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Sunday.
Sumarsono said the fake ID cards were made by using Photoshop. He believed the perpetrator use the same photo of a resident, changed the data with multiply identities and spread it to social media to create restlessness among society ahead of Jakarta gubernatorial election. "It was a crime which could be charged," he said.
He insisted that the case had been followed up by the police. He also said the ministry has processed it.
Sumarsono said the government would not remain silent. “The police would conducted some steps using its cyber system to catch the perpetrator and to enforce the law. The President also conducted an approach on this case,” he said.
Previously, three ID cards under the name of Mada, Saidi and Sukarno were spread on social media using the same photograph of a resident. The card consisting of the data of three different identities with the same picture.
