SBY and Aa Gym tweet concern about the country

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) noticed mudslinger and spreader of hoax was controlling and at the reign. He was concerned about the condition of the country. "O God, the Almighty. Why was the country becoming like this," he said via Twitter on Friday. 

Retoric, SBY asked, "When the people and the week will win?" 

SBY did not give further explanation on the mudslinger that he meant. He did not mention Joko Widodo (Jokowi) administration, although he deplored today's condition of the country. His tweet gained netizen attention. It was a trending topic in Twitter with the hashtag #negarakokjadibegini.

Meanwhile, Head of Islamic Boarding School Daarut Tahuid Bandung KH Abdullah Gymnastiar (Aa Gym) expressed his concern at the state and the nation lately. "It's sad to see the state of our country today. Let's start to refrain ourself from words, comments, attitudes that could worsen (the situation)," he wrote via his personal account @aagym on Friday.

Aa Gym also expressed his longing for the nation's leaders which speaking politely and patient. He missed noble characters who could be role model for togetherness and blessing. "Let's stay calm and noble, though there have commented bad. Because every word will be back to who said it," wrote Aa Gym.

Aa Gym advocated that all should refrain from offended and hurt easily. He invited all parties to address the current situation with clear, intelligent and solution. "Solutions are favored of Allah SWT," he wrote.

Previously, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security (Menkopolhukam), Wiranto, has said a number of legal actions recently occured were purely law enforcement. He reiterated it was not an act of authritarian regimes. "The government is not towards an authoritarian regime," he said after attending a plenary meeting of the Advisory Council of the Indonesian Council of Ulama (MUI) on Wednesday (January 18).
