REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The inactive Governor of Jakarta, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok), said it is fair that the case Sumber Waras Hospital won by the city government. He said that it was legitimate, because the government bought a certificated land by the National Land Agency (BPN). “So, if you want to buy any land, the safest was buying from BPN and the notaries," said Ahok in the House of Lembang, Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday.
Previously, the West Jakarta District Court rejected the lawsuit of the Social Association of Candra Naya. The lawsuit was associated with the disputed land ownership of Sumber Waras Hospital. The land had been purchased by the city government of Jakarta from Sumber Waras Foundation.

The report of the disputed land ownership was submitted by the association in June last year. The association argued that the transaction between the city government and Sumber Waras Foundation on 3.6 hectares land area located at Kyai Tapa Street, Grogol, West Jakarta, was illegal. The land ownership was allegedly improper with the statutes and bylaws of the association as the holding of Sumber Waras.

Later, the panel of the judges decided to reject the lawsuit. According to the judges, the plaintiff failed to formulate the charge material clearly. The judges argued that the action of the foundation to divert the land rights certificates to Jakarta government was legally valid. Therefore, the agency has been listed in the decree of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights.
