Aher appreciates determination of Ciamis mass who walk to join 212 rally

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG -- West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan (Aher) met entourage of mass from Ciamis district who walk from their homes to Jakarta to join December 2 (212) rally. Commander III/Siliwangi Major Gen. Herindra and West Java Police Inspector General Bambang Waskito accompanied the governor. "We met with the participants of the outstanding long march," Aher said on Wednesday at Rancaekek Regency, Bandung, West Java.

Aher appreciate the mass commitment to join 212 rally. He appreciate the struggle over belief held by the demonstrators. "The participants are our citizens and we should respect and honor them," he remarked.

Aher had a discussion with regional leaders, public figure, and leaders of the long march to provide a convinient and secure facilities to make sure the mass could arrive in Jakarta on time. For the sake of the journey, Aher asked the mass to take assistance to continue journey by bus. "By foot, they could not make it on time," he said.

Aher believed travelling by bus will not reduce the reward from God. The mass received his suggestion. They would like to continue walking to Gedebage and stay for a night. "After that, they will be transport to Jakarta by bus," Aher said. 

So far, there are 10 buses available. Meanwhile, Inspector General Waskito urged all bus operators to provide transportation for mass of 212 rally. "We will make their journey easier," he assured.

Walking to Jakarta, thousand of mass from Ciamis recieved warm welcome along the way. Local residents provide food, medication, shelter and even sandals for the participants of 212 rally.
