Indonesian President congrats Donald Trump

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Donald Trump won the United States of America (U.S.) presidential election. In response, Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has offered his congratulation to Trump.

Jokowi said Indonesia have good ties with the U.S. "We appreciated America's choice. We still have good relationship," he said at the State Palace, Wednesday (11/9).

According to Jokowi, Indonesia and the U.S. has trade and investment relations. Indonesia noted U.S. as the fifth largest investor in Indonesia.

He believed close relationship in the trade and investment will not change. "Nothing will change, it will remain good relationship," said Jokowi.

Earlier, a quick count of the presidential elections in the United States showed Donald Trump won in a number of states. The Republican Party candidate has defeated his rival from the Democrat party, Hillary Clinton.
