REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, CILACAP -- A training aircraft belongs to Perkasa Flying School in the Cilacap, Central Java, has crashed in the paddy fields at 8:30 am on Wednesday (19/10). The plane landed after flew for 10 minutes.
The authority of Tunggul Wulung Airport said the plane turned on the engine for 20 minutes before the aircraft crashed. The plane took off with an instructor pilot Viktor Chachon with student pilot Rahin Cahandra Sura. The aircraft took off through runway 31.
However, about 10 minutes later, the flight crew reported an emergency to authority Tunggul Wulung Airport. There were engines problem. Then, airport authority asked for confirmation from the pilot about emergency condition. However there was no answer.
A few moments later, the authority received information that the plane made an emergency landing in the rice fields, not far from the airport. Both of the flight crews reported suffered minor injuries and the victims were being treated at the Fatimah Hospital Cilacap. The aircraft was heavily damaged.
