REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, GORONTALO -- The Gorontalo provincial government is set to offer Middle Eastern investors to manage the province's geothermal sources during the "Business Matching" Indonesia-Middle East Update (IMEU) 2016 held here from October 9 to 11. At the business meeting with the Middle Eastern investors, the local government will also offer them to invest in the tourism sector, secretary of the Gorontalo provincial government Winarni Monoarfa said here on Sunday.
Among the tourist sites that they can develop are Saronde islands, Olele marine park and Pentadio resort, she said. In the trade and industrial sector, the local government will offer them a wide range of commodities from the fisheries, agricultural, plantation, forestry and husbandry sectors.
Deputy Foreign Minister Abdurrahman M. Fachir is expected to open the IMEU forum which will bring together ambassadors from Oman, Egypt and Kuwait as well as the Indonesian ambassador to Jordan. Meanwhile, Gorontalo Governor Rusli Habibie said the local government will try its best to provide investors with a variety of facilities to invest in the province. "The local government ensures that security arrangements in Gorontalo are relatively good, while the availability of infrastructures is more than enough," he said.
