All pairs candidates passes medical tests

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Jakarta chapter of the General Election Commission (KPUD Jakarta) has declared candidates running for governor and deputy governor for Jakarta gubernatorial election have passed all medical tests.

''Ahok and Djarot, Agus and Sylvi, as well as Anies and Sandi, they passed all physical health test, psychiatric test, and drug free," KPUD Jakarta Chairman Sumarno, in Jakarta, Saturday ( 1/10).

Meanwhile, all pairs of candidates should immediately complete all administrative requirement.

Sumarno said KPUD Jakarta gave the results of the verification of candidates on Saturday (10/1) on the representation and or candidates who attended the plenary meeting at the KPUD Jakarta.

"We have handed over any terms that have been fulfilled and what terms are not yet complete," he said.

All candidates undergo a medical and psychology test at the Dr. Mintohardjo Naval Hospital on 24 to 25 September 2016.

Three pairs of candidates for governor and deputy governor are already registered in Jakarta KPU to compete in the Jakarta Gubernatorial Election in 2017.

The first pair is Basuki Purnama Tjahaja-Djarot Saiful Hidayat who supported by the Indonesia Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), National Democratic Party, the Golkar Party, and the People's Conscience Partu (Hanura).

The second pair is Agus Yudhoyono Harimurti-Sylviana Murni that supported by four parties namely the Democratic Party, United Development Party (PPP), National Awakening Party (PKB), and National Mandate Party (PAN).

Then the third couple is Anies Baswedan-Sandiaga Uno that supported by the Great Indonesia Movement (Gerindra) Party and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS).
