On Wednesday (9/14), President Joko Widodo witnessed the failed attempt to launch Chinese-made C-705 anti-ship missiles from two war craft. Those missiles was failed to launch immediately after it was fired. Several minutes later, the missle finally blast off.

"It was a very embarrasing incident," Bobby said, Friday (9/16), Antara quoted.

Bobby said the incident should be investigated and evaluated, whether the missiles that costs around Rp 20 billion per item was damaged before it was accepted or a data communication device was broken..

"I support the Navy to suspend military cooperation with China in terms of missle contract C-705 and cancel the intention to buy more. The Navy should switch to other countries," he said.
