REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Chairman of House of Representatives Commission I have held a fit and proper test of Commissioner General Budi Gunawan as a candidate for chief of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) and said he deserve to replace Sutiyoso.
"We have held a fit and proper test and hear opinions from various factions. We decide that Budi Gunawan deserve for BIN chief and replace Sutiyoso," said chairman of House of Representatives Commission I Abdul Kharis in the complex of House of Representatives on Wednesday (9/7).
However, Abdul reluctant to reveal the considerations that made Budi's name has been approved to be BIN chief. The reason is state secrets.
"Intelligence is state secrets. We can't publish the consideration about it," Abdul Khoir said.
