REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Jakarta Police Chief Inspector General Moechgiyarto said the robbers were afraid when they know the police has seiged the house. They cried and ask mercy to their hostage.
The robbers entered the house at Jalan Bukit Hijau IX RT 09, RW 13, Pondok Indah, South Jakarta at 05.00 am. The police arrived at around 11.00 pm after the house's servant managed to sneak out and reported the incident to the police.
She told the police, there were two robbers. They asked her to serve them instant noodle. She took that request as an opportunity to sneak out.
Moechgiyarto said the police has given the robbers warning shot. There were no shoot-out, even though the suspect brought Walter PPK calibre 32. “The suspects identified as AJ and S cried in front of the house owner, asking for mercy. They got panic and asked the house owner to recognized them as relatives,” Moechgoyarto said at the location, Saturday (9/3).
The two suspects was detained at Jakarta Police Station. The hostages, except the head of the family, was transfered to the nearest hospital for check up.
The house is owned by Asep Sulaeman, ex Senior Vice President of ExxonMobil Affiliates in Indonesia.The police has interviewed him to get detailed informations. “We have secured CCTV from the house for further investigation,” Moechgoyarto said.
