REPUBLIKA.CO.ID PONTIANAK -- Singkawang City Administration has donated six units of official cars to mosque, Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren), and educational institutions.

"Six official cars were handed over to representatives of the mosque as many as four units, boarding one unit and one unit of education institution," Head of Revenue Department of Finance and Asset Management Areas Singkawang, West Kalimantan, Muslimin, Friday (5/8).

Muslimin hoped, there is an additional grant for another organization.

However, the Singkawang city administration is still waiting for the official vehicles which brought by former officials can be returned.

"Because not all the official vehicles of former officials in our hand," he said.

After the grant process and an official car auction as many as 13 units were completed, Muslimin promised would withdraw official vehicles which still in the hands of former officials of Singkawang.

Based on the decision from Singkawang Mayor, official cars whether it will be granted or follow the auction process. Muslimin added, according to the direction from Singkawang Mayor, that the budget for repairs and maintenance of official cars which donated is the responsibility of the grantees.

"Alhamdulilah (Thank God), each receiver would not mind if the repairs and maintenance budget are charged to each grantees," he said.

Singkawang City Administration, he added, is ready to assist the process of transferring the name to the board (grantees) in the Office of Singkawang Police (Samsat).

One of the recipients of grants from the Academy of Health Nutrition Sinka Dharma Madani Singkawang (SDM), Firgong Siregar said the vehicles would be utilized for good reason.

"This vehicle aid is useful for our students to take practice, for example from campus to community health centers (puskesmas), or campus to the hospital, including routine operations," Siregar said.
