REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The chief of the National Mandate Party (PAN), Zulkifli Hasan, has considered the appointment of one of the pary's cadres, Asman Abnur, as a minister by President Joko Widodo here on Wednesday as an honor.
"Certainly it is an honor to be trusted by President (Joko Widod)," he said after attending the inauguration of ministers in the new line-up of the cabinet at the state palace.
Zulkifli who is also the chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) said he hoped Abnur as the new minister of administrative and bureaucratic reform would be able to carry out his task well and would not disappoint the people.
PAN used to be one of the political parties under the opposition Red-White Coalition or KMP and did not support Joko Widodo's presidential election but has already decided to support the government.
