REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TANGERANG -- In addition to actor Reza Rahadian, the singer  Bastian Steel also got the chance to play as the young BJ Habibie in the movie Rudy Habibie. For Bastian, to be able to play as the third President of Indonesia is a very memorable experience.

"This is not my first film but the most memorable one for me,” Bastian said when met at the Grand Premiere Maxxbox Rudy Habibie in Lippo Karawaci, Sunday (26/6).

In the eyes of Bastian, Habibie is a figure of a genius and an inspiration. Because of this, Bastian feel there is a challenge to be able to portray the figure of Habibie.

Moreover, the actor Reza Rahadian was rated successfully to portray the figure Habibie in the previous film  Habibie & Ainun. This makes Bastian to feel more motivated to act as good Reza portray in his role as the young Habibie.

"Reza managed to portray a figure of Mr. Habibie. I will strive to be as good as Reza," said Bastian.

Having played the role of Habibie, Bastian admitted for his admiration to portray Habibie even better. He also thinks Habibie as a remarkable figure since his youth. Therefore, he admitted was a little nervous when acting as the young Habibie.

“To be given the opportunity to play such an outstanding and inspiring figure makes my heat pound from nervousness,” said Bastian.

Rudy Habibie movie is a prequel of the previous film Habibie & Ainun, directed by Hanung Bramantyo. In the film Bastian played the role as a young Habibie who underwent his childhood in the city of Pare Pare and had lost his father at the age of 14. While Habibie adult figure in the film is played by Reza Rahadian.
