Fire burns Kanjengan Market in Semarang

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SEMARANG - Kanjengan Market in Semarang, Central Java, was burned on Saturday (18/6). Kanjengan market is located in one complex with Johar Market Semarang.

A number of fire trucks were deployed to extinguish dozens of stores were engulfed in the flames. Chairman of the association of Kanjengan Market Bambang Yuwono said the fire allegedly start from one kiosk in Block E. The fire was immediately burning three stores, namely Electronics Shop of Irama Jaya, Plastics store of Pungkuran, and Mulia shop.

"The initial cause of this fire allegedly from empty store," he said on Saturday.

Then the fire spread to other stores. Initial allegations, the fire was caused by electrical short circuit electrical in the empty shop.
