REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) received the national committee members of the All Indonesia Regional Legislative Assembly Association (ADKASI) at the Merdeka Palace on Thursday, according to Home Affairs Minister Tjahjo Kumolo.
"President Jokowi has just received ADKASI's committee members who reported that the association's National Working Congress will be held in August," the minister stated, adding that the president will attend the event.
Kumolo said the head of state had also accepted ADKASI's proposal to hold a dialog forum to seek inputs on the aspirations of the community based on the vision and views of the Regional Legislative Assembly leaders.
In the meantime, ADKASI Secretary General Agus Solihin noted that the association comprised 417 districts and 17,625 members.
He said the National Working Congress in August will be held in Pelalawan District, Riau Province, and will be attended by all ADKASI members, district heads, and mayors.
