REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BOGOR -- The government of Bogor, West Java launched a bus tourism which is accessibly free for the public and society.
"One unit of tourism bus will be operated in August 2016," said Director of Regional Company Transportation Service (PDJT) Bogor City, Krisna Kuhcahyo, Monday (16/5).
Krisna said the preparations for the tourist bus operation have been presented to the Mayor of Bogor in the hearing meeting that hold on Monday (16/5) morning.
He said the tourist bus is aid from Bank Jabar Banten (BJB) through it is social responsibility funding.
"This bus is facilitating the people who want to get around visiting some of tourism places in the city of Bogor, for free," he said.
But he added, the bus route is still in discussions with related agencies such as the Department of Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, DLLAJ and Police.
According to him, for the management of tourist bus will involve Bogor Sahabat community because regional owned company (BUMD) may not accept corporate social responsibility (CSR) fund.
"We will hand over the management to Bogor Sahabat community," he said.
Full operation will be in August, he added, because the bus is still in production, assembly will take 60 days. The bus is designed with a very unique, ranging from a seat, and will have ornaments cleaver as a hallmark of the city of Bogor.
"Buses can be enjoyed by society freely, as well as aimed to increase tourism visits in the tourist spots we have," he said.
