Regent of South Bengkulu claims not involved in narcotics

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- South Bengkulu regent Dirwan Mahmud will help the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) reveal case of drugs found in his office.

"I will help to unveil this case and cooperate with BNN," said Dirwan Mahmud after took of  blood samples and hair on BNN Laboratory in Cawang, East Jakarta, Saturday (14/5).

Dirwan Mahmud said his arrival in Jakarta to blood samples and hair.

Previously he already undertook urine test, and the result was negative.

"To convince again, the urine tests, blood and hair can be clear. I say to media, that I don’t know anything about this problem. I am not drug abuser, later we can see the result," said Dirwan Mahmud.

Recently, the head of BNN Commissioner of general Budi Waseso  (Buwas) said the case of narcotics and drugs that was found in Dirwan’s office, there are some parties intervened.

"A lot of intervention in this case, when proven involved will be subject to Article 556 Criminal Code," said Buwas.

However, Budi not mention who those get involve in narcotics that found in Dirwan’s office in South Bengkulu, Bengkulu.

Previously, Province National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) Bengkulu on Tuesday (10/5) searched Dirwan Mahmud’s office at 09.00 am.
