Ridwan Kamil's disappointment for management of Bandung

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG – The death of Sumatran elephant named Yani in Bandung Zoo, West Java, makes many parties get anger.

Even the city mayor of Bandung Ridwan Kamil (Emil) express his disappointment and voice boycott Bandung zoo that run by the Foundation of Taman Margasatwa Taman Sari.

Emil feel disappointed with the condition of the animals.  Ridwan Kamil said that in his social media of Instagram. Emil uploaded photo while he was visiting the elephant Yani when lying ill and then died.

"Meanwhile, let’s oppose with #BoikotBonbinBDG," according to his photo caption, Wednesday (11/5) night.

He also said he would seek legal action to follow up on this incident.

He viewed the management of Bandung zoo as very bad and many people complained for them.

"Elephant that I visit this morning named Yani is dead 06.00 pm, because  this zoo owned by private, I will learn and find legal action against them," he continued.

Status in Emil’s Instagram supported by more than two thousands comments. Mostly support municipal government to act firmly even close the zoo if there is no change in its management.

"Take over the Bandung government, sir. If the owner of Bandung Zoo do not want to sell, they must close it if not caring for animals," said one netizen with account @ pattycreative.i Not only that, a petition voice save Bandung zoo has also been signed by thousands of people. They asks for more professional management in Bandung Zoo.
