MUI: Israel tries seducing Indonesia by inviting journalist

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) also regretted Indonesian group of journalist who fulfill the invitation from the government of Israel. "At the same time test the water, whether Indonesia will remain solid with the decision of the OIC through the Israeli embargo," he told Republika.co.id on Tuesday.

Israel realized this embargo policy can not be effective at all when not supported by a shared commitment between the people and the Government of Indonesia. Israel recognizes many large companies owned by citizens of Jewish operating in Indonesia.

While Israel understands the Arab countries can not do anything, because most of the Arab countries have a strong attachment either financial or diplomatic relations with Israel.

Earlier, on Monday (28/3), PM Netanyahu received five senior journalists from national media in Indonesia is visiting at the invitation of the Israeli Foreign Ministry. During the meeting, Prime Minister Netanyahu hoped the visit of Indonesian journalists can be helpful in changing the relationship between Indonesia and Israel.
