REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Islamic Book Fair (IBF) 2016 event is not just filled with local publisher. The biggest Islamic ook exhibition in Indonesia also filled with foreign publisher, especially Middle Eastern publisher.
"The last eight year IBF always filled with publisher from middle east. This year, there are four foreign publishers joining in IBF," IBF 2016 Committee Chairman M Anis Baswedan told Republika on Tuesday (1/3).
Anis explained, the foreign publisher, especially Middle East really interest joining IBF. "IBF visitor enthusiasm was very high. From their experience, publisher from Middle East gain high profit, although the profit is not their main purpose," Anis said.
According to Anis many Middle East book buyer is santri and ulema from various university in Middle East.
