REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TANJUNG BALAI -- Customs authorities in North Sumatra's Tanjungbalai city foiled an attempt to smuggle in 894 grams of crystal meth on Wednesday.

The customs authorities also arrested a passenger of speed boat, identified by initials MU, who had arrived in the city from Malaysia, spokesman for the Teluknibung customs and excise office in Tanjungbalai, Norh Sumatra, Firdaus said here on Wednesday.

The suspect is undergoing questioning at the customs office.

"We are still investigating and interrogating the suspect to gather further information. Of course, we will reveal further information," he said.
