Zika plaque, Puan Maharani: Don't panic

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesia should not panic about the Zika virus, Minister of Coordinating Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani said on Wednesday (3/2). Puan added government ready to anticipate the plaque.

"Keep clean, maintaining sanitation, and prevented mosquito larva development," Puan said.

Government will socialize to everyone including school, Puan added. She explained, do not let the school toilet flood and mosquito larvae develop.

"We expect cooperation of the society," Puan said.

Until now, Puan said, a Jambi resident has become the first Zika patient in Indonesia. However, Minister of Health said is already controlled, anticipated, and cured.
