REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SOLO -- Civitas Academica State University of Surakarta (UNS) would accept wisely every student and civil servants that became former Fajar Nusantara Movement (Gafatar) members. Rector of UNS, Ravik Karsidi said, campus was willing to accept them, who had disappeared and left their duties.
"We will welcome them back, as long as they are willing to repentance and also not repeating what they have done," Ravik said.
Furthermore, UNS would give former Gafatar members the guidance, such as mental recovery, psychological recovery, religion, and nationalism awareness.
He admitted there were 3 students that became Gafatar members. Moreover, civil servants that worked as administrative staff was known became part of Gafatar and left the job.
Ravik said students and civil servants who became Gafatar members administratively had done an offence. But, if their status as a victim, UNS would give dispensation.
