Gafatar followers of Lampung origin repatriated from W Kalimantan

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDARLAMPUNG -- A total of 256 followers of the Nusantara Daybreak Movement (Gafatar) of Lampung origin, will soon be repatriated to Lampung from West Kalimantan, according to Lampung Police spokesperson Adjunct Senior Commissioner Sulistyaningsih.

"Lampung residents who were reported missing and had joined Gafatar in West Kalimantan will soon be sent home via Jakarta," Sulistyaningsih remarked here on Wednesday.

The spokesperson revealed that they will first be accommodated in Jakarta and will then be repatriated to their respective areas in Lampung province.

In the meantime, Lampung Police Director of Security Intelligence Senior Commissioner Mochamad Rodjak Sulaeli noted that the residents of North Lampung district constituted the largest number recorded as the former followers of Gafatar in West Kalimantan.

"Half of the 256 Gafatar followers of Lampung origin are from North Lampung district, while the remaining are from Central, South, and East Lampung as well as Way Kanan and Mesuji districts," he added.
