REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DENPASAR -- An exhibition of gems and agate, also known as agate les Moringa, which is being held to enliven the 8th Denpasar Festival, has attracted several visitors to the annual event.
"The community believes that agate has the power to repel negative influences," Aris, an exhibition participant stated here on Thursday, adding that several visitors had come to the agate and gem exhibition.
Aris has sold several agate les Moringa, which have lured a large number of civil servants of the city government.
The Denpasar Festival is a platform to promote natural stones, which come in a variety of colors and have their own unique names, to the public.
According to Aris, besides the agate les Moringa gemstone, the visitors also prefer amethyst, zambrut, verus, Sedana hair, and ruby cempaka.
Wayan Darya, an agate collector, explained that the visitors were also keen to buy other types of gemstones such as amethyst and hair Sedana.
