REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesian National Police Headquarters dispatched Indonesian FPU Task Force VIII 2016 to Darfur, Sudan. The Task Force which was consisted of 140 personnel would carry out the United Nations-African Union Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) to create a world order.
National Police Chief Gen. Badrodin Haiti directly released the task force to Sudan. They was schedule to depart on Saturday (26/12).
"I appreciated and expected the task force to create a sense of security and peace to the conflict-affected areas," said Badrodin, at Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Thursday (17/12).
According to Badrodin, the UNAMID from the United Nations (UN) was a challenge for Indonesia. Therefore, the Task Force was required to provide security to civilians in conflict areas.
Indonesia, he continued, since 1989 has always participated in the mission of world peace, as in South Sudan and Bosnia. Badrodin explained, each year the personnel of the FPU Task Force were always dispatched.
The personnel must be proficient in English and Arabic and also having ability to shoot, driving and operating the computer. In addition, they also needed to have special skills such as mechanical expert of air conditioning, generator, and technology.
