REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- State-owned printing company Perusahaan Umum Percetakan Uang Republik Indonesia (Perum Peruri) recorded a 20 percent increase in net profit to Rp231 billion in the third quarter of this year compared with the same period last year.
"The operating income of the company was Rp2.17 trillion in the third quarter of this year," Peruri President Director Prasetio said after opening a conference on "High Security Printing (HSP) Conference Asia" here on Tuesday.
Prasetio said this year Peruri recorded good performance with operating income surging in the third quarter from Rp1.72 trillion in the same period last year.
Its operating profit grew 42 percent to Rp373 billion in the third quarter, he said.

He said Peruri continues business expansion by seeking partnership with foreign companies.
The four-day "High Security Printing" (HSP) Conference Asia to end on Thursday is a regional discussion and a forum of communications, and exchange of information especially on technology.
HSP Conference Asia is attended by 260 delegates representing 71 companies operating in printing of securities documents and central bank from 27 countries.
Among the counties are France, Britain, Germany, the Philippines, Thailand, Uganda, China,India, Sudan, Sweden, the United States, Malaysia, Singapore, Spain, Pakistan, Russia, Switzerland, Zambia, Hong Kong, Austria, Australia, the Netherlands, Kenya, South Korea, Israel, Bhutan, and Japan.
The conference has been held annually since 2002. This year is the second in Jakarta after one 2004 .
