10 Indonesian representatives compete in second round of Hong Kong Open

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, HONG KONG -- A total of 10 Indonesian representatives competed in the second round of Hong Kong Open Super Series 2015, Thursday (19/11). The most representatives were from mixed doubles and men's doubles.

In the second round, a young pair, Ronald Alexander/Melati Daeva, will meet fifth best pair of South Korea, Ko Sung Hyun/Kim Ha Na. Edi Subaktiar/Gloria Emmanuelle Widjaja will also meet fourth best pair from China, Xu Chen/Ma Jin.

Meanwhile, eighth best pair of Indonesia, Praveen Jordan/Debby Susanto, will meet finalists of Asian Championships 2015 from Hong Kong, Lee Chun Hei Reginald/Chau Hoi Wah.

In men's doubles, second best pair of Indonesia, Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan, will be against a young Chinese pair who beat them in the second round of China Open Super Series Premier 2015, Wang Yilv/Zhang Wen.

Then a young pair from Indonesia, Gideon Marcus Fernaldi/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo will be against a pair from Thailand, Bodin Ishara/Nipitphon Puangpuapech. Angga Pratama/Ricky Karanda Suwardi will be going against a pair from Taipei, Chen Hung Ling/Chi Lin Wang.

In women's doubles, there are two representatives who survive, namely Greysia Polii/Nitya Krishinda Maheswari who will meet a young Japanese pair, Ayane Kurihara/Nori Shinoya. Then, Gebby Ristiyani/Tiara Rosalia will meet the third best pair from Denmark, Christinna Pedersen/Kamilla Rytther Juhl .

Meanwhile, in women's singles, there was only one representative, namely Maria Febe Kusumastuti who will meet third best South Korean player, Sung Ji Hyun. In men's singles, there was also one representative, namely Anthony Ginting who will meet fourth best player four from Japan, Kento Momota.
