Foreign Ministry confirms no Indonesian casualties in Paris attack

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesian Foreign Ministry confirmed there has been no reports of deaths from Indonesia in Paris attack, Saturday (14/11). The tragedy that occurred on Friday (13/11) night had killed at least 142 people.

"Based on coordination with Indonesian Embassy in Paris, until now there is no information about Indonesian victims in this incident. #SeranganParis (#ParisAttack). Indonesia also opened a hotline services and information on the number +33 621 122 109," said Foreign Ministry, in a statement on the official account on @TwitterPortal_Kemlu_RI.

Indonesian Embassy in Paris also issued an appeal to the citizens of Indonesia in France to raise awareness.

"Embassy in Paris again asked citizens who settled and lived in France, particularly in Paris and its surrounding areas to increase awareness in public places," said the a statement.

Embassy also asked people to monitor the presence of friends and family in Paris. Following the establishment of Paris as a state of emergency, the Embassy asked the citizen to obey any suggestion carefully for the sake of common security.

If there are things that need emergency assistance, the citizen can contact the Embassy in Paris by phone +33 (0) 145 030 760 and +33 (0) 621 122 109 (mobile) in 24 hours.
