REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Representatives of Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) and Asian Football Confederation (AFC) visited Indonesian football federation (PSSI) office, Monday (2/11). The two bodies of international football were represented by James Johnson, Mariano V Araneta, HRH Prince Abdullah Shah, Windsor John, Sanjeevan, Kozho Tashima, and Kazumi Shimizu.
Their visit aimed to discuss sanctions from FIFA to PSSI. After the arrival at PSSI office at 10:00 am, FIFA representatives were welcomed by Chairman of PSSI, La Nyala Mahmud Mattalitti, and the Honorary Board of PSSI, Agum Gumelar. There were also two deputy chairman of PSSI, Erwin Budiawan and Hinca Panjaitan, and also member of Exco PSSI, Djamil Aziz.
After holding a meeting with PSSI, representatives of both institutions planned to meet Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs, Imam Nahrawi. Later, they would also meet President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.
FIFA gave sanction to Indonesian football in 30th May 2015. As a result, Indonesian football are forbidden to participate in official championship of FIFA and AFC.
