REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAKASSAR -- PT Jasa Raharja Persero of South Sulawesi would provide compensation of Rp 500 million to 10 victims of Aviastar aircraft that crashed in Pajaja mountains, Gamaru, Ulu Salu Village, Latimojong District, Luwu, on Friday, 2nd October 2015.
"In accordance with the rules of accident, Jasa Raharja will provide compensation for the victims of Rp 50 million each," said Head of Jasa Raharja of South Sulawesi, M Evert Yukianto, in Makassar, Wednesday (7/10).
Based on Regulation of Finance Minister number 36 and 37/PMK.010/2008 on traffic accident, victims who died in land or sea will get Rp 25 million, while victims who dead in the air will get Rp 50 million.
"The compensation of victims will be paid through the account to the respective heirs, no cash payments to avoid bad things," he added.
The process of filing a claim for compensation on this plane crash, he added, family of the victims can complete the requirements of application and submit the complete documents to Jasa Raharja for processing payments.
Earlier, 10 bodies of victims of Aviastar aircraft types PKBRM/DHC6 belonged to Aviastar Airline with flight number MV 7503 had arrived at Hasanuddin airport Makassar.
