REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Insurance agency was considered as a solution in the high level of non-performance finance (NPF) in sharia industry. President Director of PT Jamkrindo Sharia, Kadar Wisnuwarman, said Jamkrindo Sharia wanted to be a solution for current economic condition. Sharia financial condition today showed a high level of NPF and difficulties in the distribution of funding.
According to him, Sharia Insurance plays a very important role in mitigating the risks of funding distribution and also creating financial inclusion that target business entities or the real sector, both micro, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and non-SMEs.
The involvement of an insurance agency provides security for financial institutions to distribute the fund. Thus, financial institutions can optimize its capital and becomes more competitive in financial market.
"We are open to cooperate with agencies/institutions to develop the potential of sharia industry," he said, while opening a panel discussion on the theme 'Role of Sharia Insurance in Developing Potential of Sharia Finance', Thursday (1/10).
Kadar said, PT Jamkrindo Sharia prepared various strategies to increase the business development. Later, he said, the company will continue to innovate products, infrastructure development, IT, human resource and service level to business partners. Developing the capacity of the company also carried out through business alliances and spreading risk with re-insurance company based on sharia.
