REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesian Hajj Supervisory Commission (KPHI) asked the cause of accident in Mina to be investigated. This was because there were many speculations related to the cause of the incident.
"Saudi Arabia blamed the pilgrims, while Iran blamed Saudi Arabia authorities. Some rumors were also said that the way was stopped because of the passing of Saudi Prince," said Commissioner of KPHI, Slamet Effendi Yusuf, to Republika, Friday (25/9).
He asked the public not to believe the reasons of the incident before there is official explanation from the authorities, including from the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
He also asked that the Committee of Hajj (PPIH) to call the fleet leaders, related to the reasons why jumrah throw was still doing in that time, while that was not recommended by the organizers. This needed to be done in order to keep the safety of pilgrims.
