REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SOLO -- PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) launched Joglokerto train service from Solobalapan-Yogyakarta-Purwokerto, Friday (25/9). The launch of Joglokerto train with seven series of carriages was conducted by the Executive Vice President of PT KAI operational area 6 Yogyakarta, Wiwik Widayanti.
According to Wiwik, the launch of Joglokerto train service aimed to meet the public demand, especially railway service users who will be traveling from Solo to Yogyakarta or Purwokerto, or vice versa.
Joglokerto train service from Solobalapan Station to Purwokerto Station was an extension of Joglo express train service, which originally only served Solobalapan Station to Yogyakarta Station.
"Joglokerto train departs from Solobalapan Station at 06.15 pm and arrives in Purwokerto Station 10:01 pm," she added.
Joglokerto train set back from Purwokerto Station at 10:38 pm and arrives in Solobalapan Station at 14:46 pm of approximately time was three hours 45 minutes. Joglokerto train have a capacity of 560 seats.
According to her, ticket sales until 31st October 2015 were still Rp 20 thousand per passenger for Kutoarjo-Yogyakarta dan Yogyakarta-Solobalapan routes.
