Military and Police ready to secure inauguration of Tolikara mosque

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TOLIKARA -- The Indonesian military and police forces were preparing to secure the inauguration of Kairuh Ummah mosque (formerly named Baitul Mutaqqin). The security would also conducted during Eid al-Adha and the slaughter of sacrificial animals.

"We are preparing 42 military and 307 police officers," said commander Wamena Police, Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Id, Wednesday (23/9).

According to him, the security had been implemented since the beginning of the Tolikara riots. There were also the dissemination of peace to all parties, especially to shooting and fires victims.

"This security process will be continuously carried out not only after Eid prayer," he said.

He ensured that the situation in Karubaga, Tolikara, was safe. The Police also sought to maintained the people's unity.
