REPUBLIKA.CO.ID,  JAKARTA -- A meeting between House of Representatives' leaders, Setya Novanto and Fadli Zon, with US presidential candidate from Republican party, Donald Trump, gave negative political implication for Indonesia. It brought public perception that Indonesia has intevened other countries political business.

Indonesia foreign political direction is free and active, so that it is not favoring one party. "They did something wrong. If Trump lose, then Indonesia will be getting worse because of its intervention to US political business," said political analyst of University of Diponegoro, Teguh Yowono, Sunday (6/9).

If the House of Representatives' leaders wanted to meet Trump, it should be done in front of the audiences who supported Trump. "They can meet formally. What did they mean in showing to the public that Indonesia parliament has supported Trump?" he explained.

Previously, Fadli Zon said that Trump is a successful entrepreneur who has investment in Indonesia. However, Teguh said that, the parliament has no authority regarding foreign investment.

"It supposes to be President's business. The parliament's task is just to make a law," he added.
