REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution has said a new economic policy package to be issued by the government will have four categories.
"I just want to inform there will be four blocks in the policy package," the chief minister said here Wednesday.
The package will consist of fiscal and finance, deregulation concerning investment in the industry and trade fields, incentives for smelter construction acceleration, and food issue handling.
The policy package concerning fiscal and finance will comprise around six to seven points among other things about property ownership by foreigners, and on debt to equity ratio.
The policy package on deregulation will emphasize the need to review or simplify regulations or laws considered as barriers to investment for industry and trade.
"Some regulations will be revised partly and some other totally. These will involve around 160 regulations, if I am not mistaken," he said.
On food issue, the government plans to provide rice for the poor for two additional months, in September and November or December, during low yields of paddy harvest.
The government might announce the economic policy package's second category which is on deregulation, to accelerate investment in industry and trade, next week, according to the minister.
