REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TANGERANG -– Polda Metro Jaya arrested four Chinese who smuggled drugs to Indonesia. The officers seized six kilograms shabu and 112,189 ecstasy pills.
Head of Polda Metro Jaya, Tito Karnavian, said that drug smuggling was uncovered from the arrest of two Chinese, with initial YMCB and CMS at the Arrival Terminal of Soekarno Hatta International Airport on 9th August. From the two foreigners, the officers found six kilograms shabu. After arresting the two suspects, the police then did an apartment search in North Jakarta.
"They brought shabu that was inserted to the suitcase. In one apartments, the officers found, 112,189 ecstasy pills that were mixed with caustic soda," he said at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Thursday (27/8).
Tito added that the four suspects were members of international narcotics network. They went to Indonesia through the airport and also the port.
“This arrest was only a small part of thousands of other ecstasy that were successfully smuggled by this four suspects,” he added.
