REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MEULABOH -- Ancient handwritten manuscripts of Quran over 700 years old was shown at the Islamic exhibition, 32nd Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) in Nagan Raya, Aceh.

“In this occasions, we want to introduce a historical object that has been stored in West Aceh,” said Head of Islamic Law of West Aceh, Mursalin, Friday (21/8).

He said the ancient manuscripts of Quran was made by Sheikh Maulana Malik Ibrahim. During this time, the Quran was stored in a special place in the Mugo, Panton Reu.

The placement of the manuscripts that were known as Panton Reu, were not combined with other 62 ancient Quran manuscript aged 300-500 years old, in government museum, Nagan Raya, West Aceh.
