REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The body of an Indonesian killed in a bomb explosion near Bangkok's Erawan shrine, Thailand, was repatriated to Jakarta, Wednesday night, stated Foreign Affairs Ministry's Director of Citizens and Legal Entities Protection Lalu Muhammad Iqbal.

"We came to know from media reports that the body had been repatriated to Indonesia last night, and the Indonesian General Consulate in Bangkok, including our ambassador in Bangkok, directly managed its repatriation process," Iqbal noted here on Thursday.

The deceased victim, identified as "LLT," was a 61-year-old Indonesian woman.

Meanwhile, a 61-year-old Indonesian man, with the initials "HI," who had been wounded in the blast, was now being hospitalized at the Hua Chiew Hospital in Bangkok.

HI was reported to be in a stable condition after he underwent surgery on Monday.

Until now, the Foreign Affairs Ministry has refused to divulge the names of the two victims, on the request of their families.

"The most important aspect is that we handle the victims quickly and carefully," he emphasized.

Iqbal also confirmed that no other Indonesians were the victims of the bomb explosions, both in the first blast on Monday and the second on Tuesday.

The embassy in Bangkok had also issued some advisories to Indonesians, who were staying in or visiting Thailand, urging them to exercise caution and to avoid all places, which are temporarily closed.

Any individuals having information regarding other blast-affected Indonesians, or having family members currently visiting Thailand, had been urged by the embassy in Bangkok to immediately call on the hotline number +66929031103.

The Thai Police has revised the death toll of Monday night's bombing to 22, from 19, confirming that 125 people were injured and were seeking medical assistance.
