Ragunan obtains Giraffes from Sydney in Indonesia Independence Day

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- After providing the mobile application for Ragunan Zoo, Indosat is now continuing their commitment in developing the zoo. President Director of Indosat, Alexander Rusli, explained that Indosat will facilitate the delivery of a pair of giraffes from the Taronga Zoo in Sydney to Ragunan.

Both giraffes that are under five years will arrive in Jakarta on the Indonesia Independence Day (17th August 2015) by plane. The giraffe delivery is as part of animal exchange program between Ragunan and Taronga.

"We are proud to participate and to support this program. This is where the role of the private sector played," said Alexander, Monday (10/8).

The Jakarta authorities was also conducting quality improvement in tourism, especially in Ragunan Zoo. With addition of the animal collection, the government expects the increasing of  the interest of the public to visit the zoo.

Meanwhile, Head of the Public Service Ragunan Zoo (TMR) Bambang Triyono, gave his appreciation to Indosat. Especially in facilitating the animal exchange between Ragunan and Taronga.

"The giraffes will be given to the Governor of Jakarta and the governor will be offered to give names to the giraffes," said Bambang.
