REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Commissioner of the National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM), Maneger Nasution, said there were four human rights violation during Eid Mubarak in Tolikara, Papua. Those were discussed in plenary session in the House of Representatives (DPR), Wednesday (5/8).
"Plenary session was agree that there were four human rights violations in Tolikara," he said in Komnas HAM, Menteng, South Jakarta, Thursday (6/8).
He explained that the four points of violation consist of intolerance, right of life and justice, security, and violation of ownership.
“Intolerance had been recognized when GIDI did not allow muslim in Tolikara to pray,” he said.
Meanwhile, right of life and justice violence can be seen when there were 12 people shot and a person died. That was proved that violence in Tolikara was harmed.
"Let us imagine how hundreds of children live in fear,” he added.
Another violation was violation of ownership. It was shown by the evidence of burning kiosks, mosque, and houses.
