REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAKASSAR -- Gowa’s leader candidate, Adnan Purichta Ichsan, said that Muhammadiyah always creates many great leaders from the first it established, until now.
"Muhammadiyah’s figures have a major of influence even before Indonesia independence. They also played important roles in the independence," said Adnan, Monday (3/8).
Adnan was deeply proud to become a part of Muhammadiyah. He admitted that educational experiences he got from Muhammadiyah brought a strong mind and heart.
"Education that is given from Muhammadiyah creates many great leaders in this country. In my family, we were not only taught about leadership, but also how to carry out the mandate while leading," he said.
Adnan explained that, a leader will affect the development of a region. "This country needs a great leader," he said.
Related to Muhammadiyah congress, Adnan said, as part of Muhammadiyah, he hopes there will be a big deal in the congress. "Looking at the discussion agenda, I believe all ideas from the leaders of Muhammadiyah would be very beneficial for the nation," he added.
