REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAKASSAR - Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Din Syamsuddin expressed his concern over the growing polemic in society related Social Security Agency (BPJS) Health.

Currently, the issue of non-sharia of BPJS Health was sticking out as a follow up of the decisions of Ulama astral conjunction of MUI Fatwa Commission in Tegal, Central Java in June.

Din explained, the polemic circulating as if MUI forbids BPJS that was currently running. He said the decision of astral conjunction in Tegal was a form of recommendations for improvements.

MUI in this matter was Fatwa, said Din, discussed the issue of BPJS because there was istifta or request of fatwa from society. He admitted that there were a number of questions among users of Islamic financial products related to BPJS status. Din stated, astral conjunction and then provide recommendations as an effort to strengthen BPJS.

"Government programs are especially useful for the general public is always we (MUI) response positively. The goal (discussion fatwa of BPJS) that the program you want to give beneficiaries are going well," said Din.

Din asserted that no word haram in the results of Ulama astral conjunction. This recommendation was a desire of MUI to BPJS program accepted by the society without any doubt.
