Police says they will announce suspect of Tolikara incident

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Police Chief General Badrodin Haiti said today will be carried out an examination of five witnesses in the Tolikara case.

According to Badrodin, so far there were 31 witnesses have already testified. "The possibility of this day has been able to set the suspects," said Badrodin, at Police Headquarters, on Wednesday, July 22.

By doing so, he continued, the prosecution of the suspects could be done immediately. Badrodin also explained that the witnesses were examined consisted of community, congregation, organizers, and the police themselves.

When asked whether in such cases, there was an involvement of missionaries, Badrodin claimed to have not seen their roles. "Until now there has been not (seen their roles)," said Badrodin.

All of the background of the case will be studied. Including information developed in the community. From this information, said Badrodin, police will conduct analysis and investigation.

Previously, the incident in Karubaga, capital of Tolikara regency, allegedly due to a letter issued by the Working Committee of the Evangelical Church in Indonesia (BP GIDI) Tolikara dated July 11, 2015.
