Nazarudin to get rights as justice collaborator

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Directorate General of Correctional Facilities (Ditjen Pas) of the Law and Human Rights Ministry ensured, the convict of corruption cases Mohamad Nazarudin would have the right as a justice collaborator. He was proposed to get a remission of Eid al-Fitr 1436 Hijri.

"Since applied to Sukamiskin prisons he got the certificate that he is a justice collaborator," said Head of Public Relations Ditjen Pas, Akbar Hadi confirmed on Tuesday, July 21.

Nevertheless, according to Akbar, the status as a justice collaborator did not necessarily make the former Democratic Party politician was getting remission. According to PP Number 99 of remission for convicted of corruption, there were several other conditions that must be met in order to obtain a reduction in the period of custody.

Akbar pointed out, a prisoner of corruption case should first pay compensation according to court verdict and received a certificate of law enforcement who handled the case. He also should behave well while in prison, following the coaching program, did not get caught another case and was serving a sentence for six months.

"It will all be verified, if it fulfilled he just have to conduct TPP (Correctional Observer Team) hearing," he said.

As is known, some inmates corruption that reportedly will receive remission of Eid were the former Democratic Party politician M. Nazaruddin, the former mayor of Bandung Dada Rosada for a month, PDIP politician Emir Moeis for a month, and Gayus Tambunan for 1.5 months.
