REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Chairman of the National Commission for Child Protection (Komnas PA) Arist Merdeka Sirait believed that the kidnappers of Sintya Hermawan had several times to communicate with the victim. It was seen from the attitude of Sintya with kidnapper recorded by CCTV in Pusat Grosir Cililitan (PGC).

Arist explained, when referring to the experience, young children who were abducted fairly ever established communication with the suspect (kidnappers).

"Based on experience, of the previous incidents, it proved that there were at least meetings or communication between the two of them, at least two to three times, although, the kidnapper had no communication directly with the biological parent. What happens in Sintya’s case, she was very relaxed with her kidnapper. The girl was very close to him,” said Arist in Kramat Jati police, East Jakarta, on Tuesday, July 21.

Furthermore, Arist said, there were rarely any cases of child abduction carried out without prior approaches.

If the kidnappers were determined to reach a spot and abducted children, it actually will complicate the kidnappers themselves, because, the child will definitely revolt and scream. For that reason, Arist suspected the kidnappers had been previously approach Sintya.

"It could be for a few days, Sintya had been targeted by the perpetrator, so there were observations. Whenever her mother went to the store, where Sintya usually play," he added.

Nevertheless, Arist claimed not to know the motives of the kidnappers to abduct Sintya.

Previously, Sintya’s parents were surprised to see their daughter was seen very close with her kidnappers through CCTV. Sintya reported missing abducted while playing in a children's playground in the PGC, Kramatjati, East Jakarta, on Saturday, July 18, at around 16:30, when Ridwan, her father, open the store with her mother Siti Ermawati. However, now Sintya have returned home. She was found by a taxi driver in the West Bekasi.
