REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo at the State Palace, here, Wednesday, installed Lt Gen. Mulyono as chief of staff of the Indonesian Army (TNI AD) to succeed newly promoted Indonesian Defense Forces' (TNI's) Commander General Gatot Nurmantyo.
The promotion of Lt Gen. Mulyono as the new army chief of staff is based on Presidential Decree No. 54 TNI Year 2015, signed by the president on July 14, 2015.
Lt Gen. Mulyono, who graduated from the Military Academy in 1983, earlier held the post of commander of the Army Strategic Command (Kostrad).
